3 Days of a Death Anniversary and 3 Idiots

It was the 3rd Day of my Grandmothers first death ceremony on tuesday, Like all other Brahmin ceremonies it was done in a pretty orthodox manner.
Me and my Brother doing the usual job of teasing, Listening to "Expert" advices from uncle and aunts. Jeez They do give a lot of free advices
Funny thing about first death anniversaries is that they are celebrated for 3 days.
First day, Its more like a mourning session, Even the food tastes the same. Most side dishes are bitter and sour but they are definitely better than lunch at a wedding hall.
Second day, I really have no clue what they do.
The Third day, it is believed that the person deceased.. will reach the gates of heaven after a year long tedious journey. So its celebration time.. :P
Even the dishes change. Mourning food suddenly shifts to Marriage food. No more bitter and sour side dishes.
Hmmm, We are so used to alternatives arent we..?? I mean Bittergourds, Sweet Potatoes change to Pineapple and Potatoes.
Even when it comes to our constitution amendments, amendments and amendments. Anyways food was brilliant. Had fun time there

After a while we came up with the idea of watching "3 Idiots", So within no time, Me and Shortie narrowed down the plan. Even my brother wanted to watch the movie.
We bought black tickets, And the movie started..

Heres what I think about the movie.

There is no doubt that when it comes to perfection no one can match Aamir Khan. Yes.. He certainly looks like a college student and acts like one too.
Madhavan and sharman Joshi too have acted well. Boman Irani's role as a nutty irritating College Director is well suited. Reminds you of Dr.Asthana from MBBS
Kareena Kapoor's acting reminds you of Geet from "Jab We Met". But the real credit goes to the director. He's done a brilliant job of adapting the book well into a movie.
A well written screenplay. You'll find a touch of Munnabhai in a few parts.

The First half is hysterical. Right from the first scene. I wonder if Aamir was really as mischievous in his real college life as he is in this movie.
Second half is not as funny as the first half, Theres a twist in the story. Ending is bit of a drag. But.. No probs.. Bollywood movie right.. I expected it

Overall, A family entertainer. One of Raju Hirani's best after Lage Raho.
I'll give it 4/5...

Aaall Izzz Wellll...Aaall Izzz Wellll...Aaall Izzz Wellll..!!!!
